this lapis lazuli brass pendant necklace is simple yet stunning featuring a gorgeous natural, undyed lapis lazuli stone bead nestled into a handcrafted, highly polished brass setting. a slim natural leather cord threads the two pieces seamlessly together and has a sliding knot closure to allow for adjustment of the length.
the gold colour of the jeweller's brass complements the deep blue of the lapis lazuli stone amazingly. such a gorgeous, versatile piece!
//pendant length from top of stone to bottom: approximately 31mm
//necklace slips easily over the head at 24" in length
//natural leather cord is 1mm in thickness
//raw brass has been given a microcrystalline wax coating to delay tarnish, however the brass will inevitably patina over time. should you wish to regain the shiny finish, simply polish with brass polish or a polishing cloth. it's even possible to use ketchup in a pinch!

influenced by the presence and impact of a singular, solid form developed over time under the strength of the sun, the monolith collection is meant to inspire one to feel peaceful and whole yet bold and powerful. not powerful in the egotistical sense but rather the internal power that comes from feeling courageous and open to this day and what it may bring—perhaps to invite others in or say yes to adventure. to let go of fear and embrace the unknown.
the contrast of black and gold permeates most of the collection not only referencing the passage of time as night and day but also symbolising increased personal power, relaxation, and success through the warmth of the gold tempered by the black which opens the door to mystery and hidden potential.
chelsey adams jewellery is entirely handmade using traditional metalsmithing techniques with a contemporary, minimal aesthetic. the aim is to create pieces which are bold enough to create impact yet simple enough to be worn everyday. these special, sophisticated pieces are crafted from humble materials to ensure accessibility of the work; however, most designs can be replicated in silver and 9ct gold if preferred. the intention is for the work to be incorporated into a greatly edited, mindful wardrobe.
