Straight shaped canister pet urn with custom name, impressed paw print stamp and custom color options. Custom made just for you to hold pet ashes or use instead to hold special pet momentos. Glazed only at top above the top line of text. Hand impressed lettering writing a requested name on one side and paw print on back side. This is not a quote urn, if you would like more text than a name and paw print, please select a quote urn from my etsy shop. Cork will be custom fitted to opening, but please secure urn cork stopper with glue (such as gorilla glue, or super glue).
Please specify in notes to seller box of the order transaction when you purchase (found after you add the item to your shopping cart):
-the NAME as you'd like it written (lowercase, UPPER CASE or Title Case)
-selected CLAY color and selected GLAZE color, and TEXT color if desired.
-customization beyond these are possible, please message me if you have a special idea you'd like to discuss.
Urns are made of clay and glaze color that you specify, see the second photo for color choices. Only the upper portion that is glazed will be the glaze color that you select, the lower portion will remain the unglazed clay. All sizes and proportions are approximate and will vary slightly as they are all handmade.The text on the piece is hand impressed with individual letter stamps (not engraved by computer), so the stamping and spacing and justification/ centering of the text will all have a hand impressed, and imperfect quality to it, as seen in the photos of all of urn samples.
The option for colored text is for glaze infilled into the impressed text. There is no charge for this option and you can select your choice of colors for the text glaze. On the lighter colored clay, a darker glaze in the text might leave some residue around the text from the text glaze application process.
Brown glaze is shown in the first photo on sand stoneware clay. This is a glaze not shown in color palette than can be special requested The second photo shows white porcelain clay with ice blue and french grey glaze as an example of the name side of the urn.
Approximate straight urn size
3" x 3" - size extra small should fit a pre- cremation weight of up to 10 pounds
3.5" x 3.5" - size small should fit a pre-cremation weight of up to 20 pounds (shown in photo)
5" H x 4" D - size medium should fit a pre-cremation weight of up to 40 pounds (shown in photo)
8" H x 4.5" D - size large should fit a pre-cremation weight of up to 90 pounds
11" H x 4.5" D - size extra large should fit a pre-cremation weight of up to 115 pounds
If you are close to the maximum volume of the urn I would recommend ordering a larger size urn if you want to ensure that the ashes fit. Ash volume can vary and might not calculate to the approximate 1 cubic inch of volume equals 1 pound of pre-cremation weight. For Hydro Cremation, there will be 20% more volume of ashes and please multiply 1.2 to the pre-cremation weight to select the urn size. I would always suggest ordering one size up if have any concerns about the urn size.

these are handmade and do not have industrial perfection. small imperfections are all a part of these handmade pieces. these glazes are food safe and lead free. as with ALL handmade ceramics, I do not recommend putting them in the microwave, oven or dishwasher (unless on the delicate cycle). they are handmade of very limited quantity, so please use them with care. avoid contact with staining foods on unglazed exterior surfaces.
vitrifiedstudio is a tiny one person home based ceramics studio . all purchases will be shipped on my one shipping day a week, and will take time to process the order and pack before I can send it to you. there are no guarantees on when it will be delivered, if you need it in a rush let me know when you place the order. Items that are custom made or made to order all take weeks to make, dry, fire, glaze, and fire again. Sometimes if they get damaged during one of those stages I will need to make it again and the item will be delayed, or I might offer you a discount for the late delivery.
